I am contacting you as my client are currently looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer and a Mechanical Piping design Engineer to join their project on a 6-month freelance basis.

The client is working on heavy industry process plant projects, carrying out a large-scale expansion which is on a brownfield site.

The client needs two separate consultants, but with similar skill sets. The roles are to start ASAP with October 4th or October 10th ideal for the client.

START: ASAP

DURATION: 6 Month Project – May Extend

LOCATION: South Belgium, South Brussels

RATES: Good Market Rates – Daily Basis

MECHANICAL AND PIPING DESIGN ENGINEER

· Mechanical Engineering professional (Piping, valves, pumps, HVAC, cooling, actuators)

· Design engineering experience – 2D design and 3D Modelling (Ideally AutoCAD)

· Knowledge of isometrics, data sheet population, P&IDs, mechanical layout, design model review

· Ability to read, review and amendment technical engineering reports and drawings.

· Experience designing packages such as piping layout, pipe support, mechanical structures

· Process Plant Projects experience (ideally onshore process plants, plant expansion)

· Understanding of engineering and design (Will act as designer representative onsite)

· English and French Language Skills (Candidates must understand written French)

· VCA or similar Belgium equivalent

The client requires a mechanical and piping design engineer to join them on a six month project, the project has just finished detailed design and will be moving into procurement and pre-construction. You will be involved through procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning.

You will be involved working on the client side, support the client and EPC contractors with the review of designs, drawing review, document review, site surveying and liaising between the client and the EPC contractors engineering team.

The client has advised they have an immediate requirement for a mechanical and piping design engineer to join their teams, they have the opportunity to interview and offer the successful candidate next week.
