E2 Drivesis a young engineering company active in electric mobility. E2 Drives is specialized in mechanics, electronics, electric motor design and embedded control. In recent years, they developed an innovative and disruptivepowertrainforelectric bikes. This patented technology offers comfort, robustness and performance to the cyclist thanks to its all-in-one and internalautomatic gearboxdesign. E2 Drives mission is to revolutionize the way people are commuting, thanks to its disruptive eBike propulsion system. E2 Drives concluded a partnership withDecathlonand plans to become aebike motor leader in the ten coming years.

E2 Drives released its first generation of motors with Decathlon in 2023 and started working on a second generation to enlarge the eBike motor offer. The tech company is based in Wavre (a nice place in the South-East of Brussels) and can count on a team of 20 young, dynamic and smart professionals.

What will be your role?

We are looking for an Mechatronic Engineer (m/f) to support our growth.

As part of the Software team, you design, implement and test new functionalities for the drive unit. It involves designing and implementing control algorithms based on mechanical considerations, integrating sensors and actuators drivers into the software, and implementing new features for the customers.

What are your main responsibilities?

• You are part of the team responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, and verification of the control software of our Drive unit.
• You design control algorithms and implement them in C into the firmware.
• You design and implement functions to drive the sensors and actuators used for the control of the drive unit.
• You test and validate the new implementation done in the firmware on the real system.
• You participate in the system design together with the other functional teams (mechanical and electronic engineering).

What is your profile?

• Master degree in Electromechanical/Electrical engineering. Ideally with a specialization in Mechatronics.
• Knowledge of programming language C.
• Analytical, problem solving skills, rigorous, autonomous and results oriented.
• Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink is a plus.
• Familiarity with the V-Cycle process is a plus.
• Knowledge with Git and CI is a plus.
• Fluent in French or in English.
