TheMethodist/Process Engineeranalyses, develops and introduces the production process steps (referred to as methods) which will be used in the production of an automated production line. He is the owner of the different manufacturing processes and is responsible for the validation of these processes. He is also responsible to develop all tools and working instructions related to these methods and production steps to facilitate the work. He is in direct contact with the operations team, he needs to have good communication and coordination skills. He is working in a cleanroom production environment which has its own extra rules. The Methodist is also following up with the industrialization team acceptance of new equipment and in developing the procedures of work to integrate these equipment into the production line.

Key tasks

• Development of methods which represent the production process steps of each product in the product line. These developments include the specific elements which are linked to the Industry 4.0 principle, which is baselined in the factory.
• Ensure the maintenance of available industrial means, and assist to the acceptance & validation of new industrial means.
• Definition of generic working instructions for common process steps that will be used by the operators. In addition to following up that these processes and the corresponding tools are qualified on regular basis.
• Making sure that the developed methods and working instructions are correctly applied and that the operators are adequately trained.
• Making sure that the developed products and consequently the methods to make them take into account the qualified production processes and the constraints of the available production infrastructure.
• Guarantee a follow-up of the technical processes in co-operation with the process owner/process engineer in terms of evolutions, obsolescence, training, etc …
• Contribute to the monitoring of new technologies
• Interact with other sites to benefit from ongoing developments and lessons learned and to exchange on developments that could be used in other product lines

Your profile :

· The candidate shall have an industrial engineering background or a technician background with minimum 5 years of experience in similar production environment.

· Background in electro-mechanics or aerospace engineering.

· A background in production environment and Industry 4.0 principles is a strong asset

· Technical writing of the different procedures and working instructions is one of the major tasks. Clear and to the point technical documentations is very important.

· A basic knowledge of electrical engineering is required.

· A basic knowledge of programming is a plus point

· The candidate shall show good communication skills. Fluency in English is mandatory both written and spoken. Potentially combined with French or Dutch, is a strong asset.

· The candidate shall be an open minded team player, that is willing to share his creativity with the different team members.
