Position: Network Engineer

Duties & Tasks

  • Take an active role in deploying, supporting and maintaining all aspects of the global voice and data network.
  • Work with our engineering teams to ensure engineering development labs are able to support future product direction.
  • Running and supporting other teams in network related projects.
  • Providing high level and detailed documentation.
  • Identify and take ownership for opportunities to automate repeatable networking tasks through creation and maintenance of scripts and tools.
  • Develop methods and tools to be used to test and implement new LAN/WAN equipment.

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in working and managing Engineering hardware.
  • Experience working in a Jira Agile team environment.
  • Experience of LAN/WAN Protocols (dot1q, dot1x, LACP, OSPF, BGP, STP, VDC, SDN, ARP, QoS, UDP, DHCP, DNS, SSL, TLS, Trunking & Port Channelling and VPN solutions);
  • Experience of UC Products, ( CUCM/CUC/CUBE/UCCX/Jabber/Webex Cloud/Microsoft Skype/Webex Teams);
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco Wireless LAN Deployment;
  • Experience of configuring network attached storage, (SAN, iSCSI, vSAN);
  • Knowledge of SIP and H.323 Protocols Elements;
  • knowledge on dial plan/routing and Call Center environments;
  • Working practical experience of networking in physical, virtual and cloud environments (VMware, AWS, Azure);
  • Working practical experience configuring and maintaining switches, fabric interconnect switches, routers, firewalls and load balancers;
  • Working practical experience configuring and maintaining Palo Alto NGFW/Panorama. Palo Alto certificates is a plus;
  • Experience of applying security principles to network design and configuration;
  • Previous experience with Cisco Unified computing, Nexus switches, Routers and Catalyst switches, with layer 2 and layer 3 features;
  • Must be comfortable working in a Windows/Linux/Unix environment;
  • Candidate should have experience working within a structured change management process;
  • Candidate must have excellent analytical and communication skills;
  • Must be available to work on occasional weekends and/or holidays as scheduled;
  • Experience dealing with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure;

Languages :Fluency in English.
