Are you looking to expand your expertise in project management and drive change in an environment that allows you to design novel approaches and solutions? If so, this Operational Excellence Project Manager role could be an ideal opportunity to explore.

As Operational Excellence Project Manager you willsupporting BeEM (Belgium Engineering and Maintenance) in Business Improvement (Strategic Alignment, Business Performance Review, Management of Simplification and Value Add Improvement projects and BeEM Performance Indicators).

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following…
  • Identify the key areas for improvement via an end-driven process and determine the Strategy and plan aligned with BeEM. You prioritize improvement projects based on impact and linked to BeEM strategy.
  • Deploy GPS across BeEM and support initiatives linked to GPS acceleration
  • Support the Leadership Team to make decision on key strategic projects to prioritize and support them by coaching/mentoring and remove barriers to progress.
  • Lead, support and facilitate projects that have a SQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People) impact and that will deliver business benefits to BeEM and beyond (across Belgium organization).
  • Support delivery of benefits as identified in the projects business cases.
  • Provide expert advice, support and mentoring to Project Leaders (Green Belts) and Project members on Continuous Improvement Mindset, tools and methodologies. You actively encourage and support use of collaborative tools and processes (Knowledge Management) to enable lean and effective multiple department and functional working.
  • Develop and enhance a culture of Excellence to do things in a simpler, smarter, quicker and in a robust, reproducible way.
  • Train BeEM teams on tools & methodologies (GPS & Lean-6 Sigma)
  • Ensure effective communication for programs / projects.
  • Network with Continuous Improvement Community to exchange learning and good practices.
Why you?

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in operations in an industrial environment.
  • You have experience in project and risk management.
  • You have experience in change management i.e. facilitation and influencing skills.
  • Proficient in French with a very good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Agility to communicate with various audiences e.g. Operators, Managers, LT, etc.
  • Experience in training, coaching & mentoring.
  • Good understanding of Operations environment i.e. technical knowledge and manufacturing processes.
  • You are Green belt certified.
  • You have experience in process improvement & lean manufacturing (Lean – 6 sigma).
Preferred Qualifications

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Ready for blackbelt certification within 24 months
