Your Role

Operations Development Manager plays a key role in steering the daily operations within an automated environment. He/She will closely cooperate with the Senior Operations Manager and will be responsible for the development, continuous improvement, and operational success of the automated portfolio within this operation.

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensuring smooth and efficient automation processes with correct WMS/WCS setup; working closely with the service department of the supplier of the automation and their in-house technical engineers;
  • Work proactively with the customer to anticipate business needs (new SKUs, seasonally, …) and balancing loads to support the performance of the automated solution and help maintain the operational cadence;
  • Defining and leading projects to continuously adapt the solution (processes, systems, reporting, work methods)to changing business needs of the customer: change of assortments, production sites, sales channels, countries, etc;
  • Translating operational needs (driven by KPIs) towards the suppliers and other relevant internal stakeholders like Facility, QSHE, ICT.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • You have relevant engineering experience within production/warehousing/engineering preferably in an automated environment;
  • Strong analytical and (creative) problem-solving skills;
  • You have a knowledge of different information technology topics and can understand, control and influence all ins and outs of a complex technical setup;
  • You are a true team player with effective interpersonal skills who can take the lead in project meetings;
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and stepping out of your comfort zone while acquiring new skills;
  • You can communicate fluently in Dutch and English;
  • You have a bachelor and (preferably) a master degree in Industrial or Technical Engineer;
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanics and electronica is a plus.
