As a supervisor you are responsible for the daily management of warehouse operations in a specific area. This entails organising and supervising your team in the most efficient, customer oriented and safe way. In addition, it is your responsibility to ensure a high level of quality and focus on timely execution of tasks at hand, including initiating and executing improvement opportunities.

Major Responsibilities

  • You coach a team of approx. 25-30 employees who perform several warehouse activities: unloading, deconsolidation, putaway, picking, packing, loading and shipping of parts.
  • You are responsible for the efficient organisation of your area and to attain the pre-established quality and productivity standards.
  • You ensure that the activities in your area are performed in conjunction and synergy with other areas by closely collaborating with your colleagues.
  • You are responsible for the operational processes in your area and initiate and/or contribute to improvement projects.
  • You ensure proper training and development of the employees under your responsibility.
  • You are accountable for a safe and clean work environment and the adherence of safety standards by your team.
  • You analyse area results and strive for lean management while taking appropriate actions for improvements.
  • You will work in rotating shift.

  • Able to identify, analyse and improve on core performance indicators within a warehouse environment.
  • Has an understanding on applicable policies, processes and warehouse management systems.

Additional Remarks

  • Fluent knowledge of Dutch and English.
