Mithra is looking for a Paralegal to join the company at Mithra headquarter (Liège).At Mithra, the Paralegal acts as a liaison between the Legal Team and the other Departments. The Paralegal will be in charge of supporting and leading all Legal administrative and corporate activities in line with the team throughout key tasks that include a wide variety of interdisciplinary cases and contacts with the all company.Being a Paralegal in Mithra means joining a close-knit team in a friendly and high standards atmosphere. As a Paralegal, you will work on a variety of subjects, you will be at the heart of the company’s projects, and you will play a coordination role in files and projects management in collaboration with other departments and external partners (consultants, services providers, law firms, etc.). You will bring your expertise in law and legal matters as Paralegal to the benefit of a dynamic legal department.Mithra is a company in full evolution which is facing many challenges in a changing environment, in order to create a legal team with the height of the challenges to be met. The role will therefore evolve according to the needs and evolution of the company.- You will be responsible for the Corporate housekeeping of all Mithra Group legal entities; You will prepare, review and manage corporate legal documents of the group entities;
- You will support the Corporate Secretary in the preparation of the Board of Directors meetings; You will assist the Corporate Secretary in the organization and preparation of the meetings of the listed parent company and its affiliates, as well as its committees , and make the necessary arrangement with the Public Notary when applicable;
- You will draft and review confidentiality, consultancy and internship agreements under the legal counsel’s supervision;
- You will assist the legal counsels in the preparation of transactions and operations in coordination with the Public Notary (providing documentation, reviewing drafts, etc…);
- You will support the legal team in ad hoc projects, depending on the operational and strategic objectives defined by the Company
- You will ensure the follow-up of the requests arising from the other departments with respect to any corporate documents, other legal-oriented documents, or any other legal-oriented advice;
- You will coordinate the notarization and legalization of documents with the Public Notary, as well as any statement to be drafted by Public Notaries;
- You will maintain and update the Legal Databases (including corporate housekeeping documents, overview of contracts and any other legal oriented files);
- You will coordinate the management of invoices related to the legal department costs and ensure the follow-up of such invoices;
- You will be responsible for the on-the-job data protection activities;
- You will assist the DPO in monitoring the evolution in data protection/privacy law and case law to translate it into compliance practices to reduce the risks of data breaches and of operational, contractual, administrative, judicial and reputational disputes;
- You will anticipate support needs of the legal counsels across a variety of legal matters.
- You have a bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent;
- You have at least five years of experience in a company in a similar role; by experience; a thorough knowledge of the practical world in a company is essential;
- You have background and interest in corporate law, and financial and administrative day-to-day activities of a company.
- Ability to apply knowledge very practically, analyze risks and issues, and propose business-oriented solutions;
- Excellent drafting and communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and strong ability to work collaboratively with multiple functions in a constantly changing environment
- Open-minded and curious personality with desire to move things forward;
- Fluency in written and spoken English (minimum B2);
- Team spirit and solidarity;
- Organized, meticulous and methodical;
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and challenging priorities and meet deadlines;
- Stress management and working under pressure.
