As Plant Quality Manager you will ensure that all manufacturing and supporting processes meet or exceed customer requirements by applying Quality System Tools to reduce variation, improve process capability, solve problems, and implement robust error proofing. You will work closely together with all Plant functions and especially with Production, Customer Service and Sales Representatives to ensure customer requirements are understood and translated into appropriate operational processes and documentation.

Your Key Deliverables

• Manage the quality system (Eaton Quality System & ISO 9001):
• Developing, deploying and maintaining the quality system, according to customer requirements, defined process- and product specifications, procedures and valid legal standards.
• Acting as Management representative for the ISO 9001 QM-system and carrying final responsibility for the development, control and timely execution of:
• Incoming and in-process Quality control + related admin
• Management of materials in the MRP-system in terms of release/HOLD status.
• Registration, analysis of Internal Deviation Reports and Customer Complaints and repot out with relevant CAPA
• The measuring instruments calibration plan.
• The ISO & EQS internal audit plan
• Management of ISO documents
• Yearly supplier performance evaluation together with Purchasing
• As member of the Plant Leadership Team, participate in Operations and TIER meetings.
• Register, analyze and report out on Key Quality Performance Indicators
• Organize and support ISO 9001 Mgt review
• Act as Direct Manager for the QC - assistant including annual performance evaluations (APEX), coaching/counseling, and scheduling daily activities.
• Act as single point Plant contact on all Quality issues in support of Manufacturing and other supporting plant functions.
• Guide and follow-up on customer and third-party audits / Questionnaires.
• Work with Customer Quality Engineers/Analysts on respective product lines to ensure processes meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations through product quality, process documentation and customer specific certifications. Includes working with customer representatives on 8Ds and corrective action request.
• Manage regulatory product compliance in terms of food contact safety, RosH, Reach.
• Assure appropriate training on quality for all employees.
• Participate and/or lead initiatives to reduce variation or perform 8D problem solving in response to quality issues.
• Act as category champion within the framework of OpA
• Back fill to: QC Assistant as appropriate
• Support the Environment Health and Safety culture
  

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience of 3 years in a manufacturing environment and a similar role
• Good knowledge of ISO 9001 and qualified as internal auditor.
• Technical acumen and customer oriented
• Ethical, passionate, accountable, efficient and transparent
• Strong communication, facilitation, coaching capability.
• Willing to learn with desire to raise the bar.
• Comfortable in a prescriptive environment where details matter
• A problem solver with team spirit.
• Computer skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Word…).
• Fluent in Flemish and English.
