THE SCOPE

With 30 years of history, today Gaming1 is one of the international leaders in both land-based and online games of chance (casino games, sports betting and poker). Its evolution at the heart of innovation is accompanied by a diversification and specialization of positions, with the creation of new cutting-edge jobs. As part of its sustained growth, Gaming1 is looking for a Platform Engineer to join its IT team.

The Delivery Platform cluster, part of our technology landscape, is responsible for providing the internal developer our development community, where we focus on enabling technical capabilities in a self-service manner with a customer centric mindset.

Inside the Delivery Platform cluster, you become part of a capability team responsible for a wide range technical capabilities required within our technology landscape, whereas the K8S ecosystem is a crucial part of.

You participate in the implementation of new, and innovation of existing capabilities within the GAMING1 K8S ecosystem, both on premises and in AWS public cloud, using Infrastructure-as-Code, security best-practices, and CI/CD principles to reach the target architecture.

You will also be responsible for the operational management in ensuring the optimal functionality, reliability, performance, quality, and availability with an SRE mindset.

Most importantly you will coach and mentor your fellow colleagues who are eager to dive into the world of containerization.

THE ROLE

• Perform the implementation and day to day operations of technical capabilities within the Delivery Platform cluster, with primary focus on K8S
• Monitor performance, capacity, and availability of capabilities related to the Delivery Platform cluster
• Perform maintenance activities to ensure quality and integrity
• Implement and validate disaster recovery procedures and processes
• Ensure security standards are applied, made known, and kept up to date
• Participate in the implementation of new, and innovation of existing Delivery Platform capabilities
• Propose and implement optimizations to reduce incidents, mitigate problems, improve performance, and improve developer experience
• Evangelize the usage of the Delivery Platform capabilities towards the organization by maintaining an up-to-date community knowledge base and actively participate in technical workshops
  
  

YOUR PROFILE

• You have a MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• You have excellent knowledge and passion for Kubernetes and its ecosystem running on-premises and/or AWS EKS
• You have experience and passion for Infrastructure-as-Code with tooling such as Terraform and Ansible
• You have experience and passion for CI/CD and GitOps principles with tooling such as GitLab
• You have experience with running operational workloads in AWS
• Experience with running operational workloads on-premises with Nutanix is a nice to have
• You have experience with operational observability with tooling such as DataDog
• You are fluent in English and have a good knowledge of French
• You have strong communication and organizational skills
• Willing to continuously develop and be involved
• Experience with API Gateways and Service Mesh on K8S is a big plus
• Experience with RabbitMQ message-broker is a big plus
