The positionBy joining our team in Marketing, Midstream & Processing you will have the opportunity to-
- Develop, inform and implement policy and regulatory work with a focus on the energy landscape across the European region.
- Develop a detailed understanding of policies and regulations to ensure business compliance.
- Communicate issues to the business and promote commercial opportunities based on regulatory insights.
- Monitor, shape and influence future policies and regulations in line with Equinor business strategies.
- Collaboration with business units to develop strategies and maintain external stakeholder engagement covering one or more of the following;
- Natural Gas.
- Power.
- Emmissions Trading Schemes.
- Carbon Capture, Transportation and Storage (CCS).
- Liquids fuels and emerging fuels (such as sustainable aviation fuels and biomethanol).
- Hydrogen.
- Voluntary Carbon Markets.
- Energy Transition.
- Decarbonisation.
- Represent the company, its business interests and policy positions in selected external associations and networks.
- Drive co-creation of analysis across analytical units in Equinor, aiming to predict holistic market and policy forecast for Low Carbon and associated technologies. This will include driving business impact analysis of proposed policies and regulations.
- Interact daily with project managers, traders, marketers and originators to advise on policy and regulations trends, their effect on market design, opportunities, and risks for gas, power, low carbon technologies and liquids fuels.
- Provide Equinor views on the policy and regulatory issues and potential regulatory developments affecting the energy and industrial landscape.

- Hands-on knowledge and experience of the energy related external regulatory and policy landscape in at least one of the listed European countries and regions. Experience with European policies and institutional processes is an advantage.
- Professional competence in written and verbal English, as well as fluency in one or more of the following languages;
- Croatian.
- Czech.
- Danish.
- Dutch.
- Estonian.
- German.
- Hungarian.
- Italian.
- Latvian.
- Lithuanian.
- Norwegian.
- Polish.
- Slovakian.
- Spanish.
- An interest in European energy markets, the energy transition and the region’s decarbonisation ambitions.
- Broad knowledge of energy value chains.
- An established external network in the European and local energy sector, its regulators and relevant industry associations is an advantage.
- Preferred university degree in law, business studies, economics, political science or another relevant subject.
