Our client is a biopharmaceutical innovator with a production site for therapeutic proteins. The production of these proteins takes place via cell cultures in bioreactors, followed by a purification process. The Manufacturing Science and Technology department (MSAT) provides a strong scientific basis to enable the use of these complex biotechnological processes. In the function described here, the focus is on the purification part of the process. From a thorough scientific and technical specialization, you contribute to the start-up of new production processes and improvement and monitoring of existing processes.
  • You will support, design, develop and improve existing production processes, both through small-scale lab studies with scale-down models and through large-scale support activities.
  • As Process Engineer you set up experiments independantly and develop and carry out studies.
  • You provide documentation through generation of scientific-technical study protocols and reports.
  • You maintain, adjust and communicate documentation and process knowledge.
  • You monitor on going processes, experiments and analyzes to ensure process reliability, and you have an accurate understanding of the effectiveness and efficiency of the processes.

    Wie zoeken we?
  • Have you obtained (preferably) a PhD in Life Sciences or are you equivalent through experience?
  • Do you have a very good knowledge of English, both written and oral?
  • Do you have specific experience with analysis techniques eg HPLC/UPLC, MS, ion-exchange, binding, capillary electrophoresis, immunological assays, ect. ?
  • Do you have excellent problem-solving skills and can handle multiple (practical) tasks at the same time?
  • Do you have good technical writing skills and are able to prepare protocols and reports?
  • Are you accurate, result-oriented and able to critically analyze data and draw scientifically sound conclusions and formulate them correctly?
  • Do you have an excellent knowledge of cGMP and can convert legal requirements regarding analytical methods into effective action plans?
  • Are you a team player and have good communication skills?
  • Are you flexible, stress resistant, open to change & innovation and are used to working with deadlines?
