The Process Improvement Engineer secures and improves the safety, quality, service and efficiency/cost of the production processes of the concerned production department(s).

The Process Improvement Engineer doing so by supporting the production manager, teamleaders and/or operators and/or technicians with all specialist knowledge.

The Process Improvement Engineer contributes to all operational objectives (HSE, Quality, Service, Cost and People) and participates to the continuous improvement program.

This mission will be fulfilled in close cooperation with production, engineering, R&D, quality (QA and QC), maintenance and safety.

Main responsibilities

  • Ensure knowledge management is in place for the installations/processes within his/her span of control.
  • Translate vision into tangible business cases
  • Handle and take the lead in various improvement projects that impact all operational priorities.
  • Managing larger projects from project definition to final closing, e.g. new production processes/installations, business process changes. This includes all relevant documentation as Standard Operations Procedures and training to employees.
  • Create a Project pipeline and prioritization matrix for future projects.
  • Overall accountable for the Management Of Change (MOC) process
  • Ensure that the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process is executed and the resulting action plans are implemented
  • Support production with expert knowlegde during advanced troubleshooting
  • Act as Single Point Of Contact (SPOC) for the Business Units (BUs) during new product development. Leading the collaboration with the BUs to ensure vertical startup of new products
  • Participate and/or organise cross-department meetings to succeed in the mission
  • Support of the continuous improvement program.
  • Complies to all applicable legal regulations and international food safety standards: safety, working conditions environment, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Prerequisite Programs (PRP), British Retail Consortium (BRC), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Halal, Kosher, allergens,….

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: €2,900.00 - €3,300.00 per month
