At Basware, we deliver a comprehensive and sophisticated e-procurement solution that enables companies to simplify their procurement operations and spend smarter by driving user adoption, supplier collaboration, and spend visibility. We are now looking for a Product Manager for our Marketplace product. In this position you will shape the future of one of our core e-procurement offering, and together with your peers, you will drive the full potential of Basware procurement solutions. This unique opportunity will place you at the forefront of the future of our services to customers. You will report directly to the Director, Procurement Solutions. You will also work in very close collaboration with the Marketplace R&D teams, Customer Service, Pre-sales organizations.
  • You own the product vision, strategy and roadmap
  • You drive and follow the product success and profitability: product adoption (customers, users, usage transactions), product revenue growth, and minimizing the direct product costs including operational cost in production and support
  • You work in tight collaboration with R&D team to manage the product backlog including customer enhancement requests
  • You communicate customer and market needs to product development and ensure the customer problem/challenge is validated and well understood before a solution is designed
  • You prepare new feature communications, internal training materials and help internal stakeholders in understanding the overall business value behind the released features
  • You actively meet and engage with customer interfacing Basware personnel and customers to gather insight for improvements
  • You are the subject matter expert and the voice of the product towards customers and within Basware
  • You work closely with other product areas and as a team member, you are are accountable for the overall success in cross-product developments
  • You constantly scan and understand the needs of customers in procurement
The role may require some travel from time to time.
  • Natural business acumen, strong drive, energy, and ambition. You make things happen, feel accountable for your own success, and have a strong “hands-on” attitude
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English. Any additional language is considered as a plus
  • At least, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (economics, engineering, marketing, business, IT)
You have:
  • a procurement / sourcing business knowledge: for example, you have been working in a procurement or sourcing organization as a strategic buyer/ category manager / category director / purchasing manager
  • and / or have been developing sourcing / procurement processes for relevant amount of time, as a purchase to pay coordinator / manager
  • and / or you are familiar with product development in the software industry and have been working in a relevant position (product owner, product manager, scrum master, product architect, etc..) for several years
  • and / or, we highly value e-commerce knowledge: you have been developing e-commerce solutions in B2B or B2C environments (for example in the retail industry)
  • You can lead projects efficiently from the early phases until their closure
  • You can work equally well people from various backgrounds, including technical and commercial. Teamwork is natural for you
We also highly appreciate if:
  • you have been working using the agile methodology
  • you have a good knowledge of Basware procurement solutions
  • you have a strong data acumen: you have worked as a data engineer, data scientist, researcher in any field of engineering or economics where data treatment was business as usual for you
