EQUANS in Houthalen is looking for a Program Management Officer.

They Will Provide Daily Support In (non-technical) Project Management Activities, Which Means

The Program Management Officers will be part of one or more infrastructure Program teams.
  • application of non-technical standards and best practices in the program (scope, cost, schedule, issue, risk, document, stakeholder management methods)
  • facilitating that the programs have a clear and stable scope, and that eventual scope changes are properly assessed, and follow the necessary approvals
  • making sure that cost and schedule estimations are built according to best practices and that the estimations are in line with the scope at every moment
  • facilitating the management of risks and issues as soon as they are detected & making sure that risks are properly reflected in the cost & time buffers (through estimating & probabilistic analysis techniques)
  • monitoring the program progress against the approved baselines and highlighting deviations from the baseline in the program team
  • apply best scheduling practices in setting up a program-level schedule (define schedule levels, project & program milestones, correctly link activities, apply calendars & constraints)
  • create a complete and comprehensive view on the overall program schedule, by continuously talking to and interacting with the Program team
  • identify and monitor the program’s critical and near-critical paths
  • define a buffer strategy in the program schedule, which leads to a stable program schedule, without overestimating the buffers (through interviewing of program team, multi-point estimation of durations, including risk estimations, probabilistic analysis)
  • continuously monitor the schedule performance (buffer consumption, etc.) and proactively highlight issues to the Program team
  • ensure integration between contractor schedules and the program schedules
Do you possess the following qualifications & skills?
  • master’s degree in business or related field
  • experience using computers for a variety of tasks
  • proven experience in program management
  • competency in Microsoft applications including MSP, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • understanding of project management
  • proven schedule management skills
  • people management skills
