Are you a technically strong, experienced project & people manager looking for a job with impact? Then this position is exactly for you! As a Program Manager you are responsible for the roll-out of the technical strategic plan of our high-tech client, by managing and implementing the defined program on their campus in the Walloon area. You have final responsibility regarding overall performance of the large multidisciplinary projects, so that the agreed scope, budget and timing are respected. You also take the lead over the campus team and you inspire and motivate them to a high-performance commitment. It is your tenet to ‘work hard, play hard’. It is your mission, together with the team and all stakeholders, to successfully deliver the complex projects on campus.

What do you do specifically? In consultation with the client, you align the campus with the vision and strategic direction of the program. You overview its scope and you ensure the coherence between the different multidisciplinary projects in a high-tech environment. You manage these large investment projects, by offering technical expertise and guidance when required and by watching over the budget, cost, planning, quality and resources. You ensure campus compliance with the client’s protocols, policies and procedures regarding Health & Safety matters. You translate the program in terms of requirements and limitations; you identify problems and risks and you formulate possible alternatives and submit them to the customer for approval. You will represent the client to all stakeholders that are involved in the program, from C-level to site level. You report on a regular basis to the client about the development of the program in terms of budget, planning, identified problems and proposed solutions. You maintain good relations with the client, as a technical strategic partner you provide advice based on your expertise and you stay alert for future opportunities.

Profiel

  • You have extensive experience in managing complex building projects in an industrial environment with high technical requirements (nuclear, pharma, power generation, advanced manufacturing etc). As a program manager or a senior project manager, you are familiar with managing major multi-disciplinary projects or portfolio’s, involving large project teams and many different stakeholders. You are experienced in intensifying client relationships and in further developing a long-term partnership. Furthermore, your proven people management qualities enable you to motivate and inspire a large team.
  • You have a technical Master’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering or Construction Engineering complemented with a Project Management Certificate (PMI, Prince 2...). If you have a relevant additional degree (MBA…), we consider this as an absolute added value.
  • As a person you show adaptability, flexibility and resilience. You have excellent coordination skills and a pro-active, “can do” mindset. You are a strong multi-level communicator and problem solver. You feel at home in a high-performance and dynamic environment. You are willing to work in the Walloon area of Mons, with the option of staying in a local hotel during the week. Finally, you are fluent in English; knowledge of the French language is a plus.
