MCA Belgium, part of the French consulting group MCA Group with about 1,500 employees, is a specialized engineering and IT consulting firm based in Brussels.
For one of our clients in the energy sector, we are hiring a Project Engineer Medium Voltage who will join the Project Execution Team.
The Project Execution team is part of the Business Unit Electrification & Automation which is, in turn, part of the division Smart Infrastructure.
The division Smart Infrastructure intelligently connects energy systems, buildings and industries to improve efficiency and sustainability.
The Business Unit Electrification & Automation offersthe full range of energy distributionsystems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. It provides reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future.
Our client is active in Belgium and French speaking countries of Africa.
The projects cover electrical networks of public distribution/transmission system operator (DSO/TSO), as well as private industries like industrial plants, power plants, data centers.
Tasks:
The Project Engineer Medium Voltage will handle and manage independently small projects for medium voltage switchgear, mainly in Belgium and in French speaking countries of Africa. This usually concerns orders including engineering and often also assembly and commissioning.
The work includes:
- Clarification of all technical specifications of the order with the customer
- Clarification of customer-specific components or solutions with the factories.
- Configure the board in a specific configuration tool and transfer it to the factory.
- Managing and controlling the based on the input of the customers (documents, meetings,…)
- Participate in any factory tests.
- Control the installation and commissioning if this is part of our scope of delivery.
- Participation in site meetings.
- Project planning and budget management.
- Monitor the financial situation of the project, together with the project controller.
Your profile:
- Great communicating skills with fluent English
- Good knowledge in French or Dutch is a plus
- Technical background (e.g. engineering)
- Experience in project management (PM certification is a plus)
- At least 3 years of experience in similar roles
