Ihre Aufgaben

Dematic, a KION operating unit has an immediate need for a Product Manager specializing in storage systems. This role will guide storage systems under his/her responsibility as a mini-CEO within Dematic. The product manager understands the needs of the application, drives own and 3 rd Party products through their lifecycle, ensuring quality and safety, in order for internal Dematic customers to be successful with storage applications.

Job Responsibilities
  • Monitors competitor activity and continuously explores and evaluates customer needs
  • Creates pricing benchmarks
  • Leads development of new business plans, managing lifecycles, quality control, and product positioning in the marketplace
  • Supports corporate development to define new opportunities and evaluate 3 rd party providers of systems
  • Coordinates developments to enhance the solution platform
  • Supports integration of products and technology into larger solutions
  • Initiates and contributes to companywide training programs targeting concepting, execution, and customer service

Ihre Qualifikationen

Key Working Relationships
  • Manages the responsibilities outlined in this document and reports to a director of product management focused on storage systems
  • A key contributor to the warehouse storage team consisting of 4-5 individuals
  • Provides direction to non-direct reports in other areas of the company such as sales, solution development, marketing, product development, and engineering
  • Interacts with individuals on a global basis in typical day to day functions

Knowledge/Experience
  • Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering degree preferred (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of the interconnectivity between mechanics and machine control logic is desired
  • Experience in the material handling industry is a benefit
  • Is able to think conceptually and drive deliverables according to specifications, timelines, and budget
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams, with a collaborative style, and aptitude in team facilitation
  • Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills
  • Experience in distributed work environments or international business setting
