Job Purpose

The SPU incoming materials QC department is in charge of releasing all the incoming materials used for the manufacturing of all GSK vaccines.

This is an exciting department with a large scope of responsibilities, tasks to deliver and multivariate operations to perform. The release of all incoming materials is performed either with internal or pharmacopeia methods against specific specifications. This is a really exciting world to discover and once you go in it, it is difficult to go out of it.

We are looking for motivated people who are not afraid of challenges and continuous improvements. The candidate will have to support and/or manage a team of several technicians, respect leadtime and have a good communication with all his/her stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

Your principal responsibility is to lead a QC laboratory team to perform testing with high quality standards and reply to the production needs in due time with respect of GSK values (well-being, transparency, patient focus…)

• Manage a team of Technicians and focus on their development
• Perform continuous improvements in the team and processes in place
• Reply to challenging release and project due dates for production line
• Perform matrix leadership with external stakeholders (other departments that QC)
• Have a team spirit to help the department to reach its objectives
• Write and approve quality documentations (procedures and check lists)
  

Manage quality systems as CAPA/Deviation/Change control

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for professionals with the following required skills to achieve our goals (must-have):

• Scientific Master or Bachelor (chemical)
• Ideally min 2 year’s relevant experience
• Good level in English (spoken and written)
• Good communication skills
• Successful experiences in a laboratory and with a team
• Strong motivation to succeed and passion for driving results
• Resilient team player who is motivated, including under challenge
• Willingness to be a strong member of a high performing team
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

The following characteristics are assets (nice-to-have):

• Ability to form collaborative relationships and to lead a team with autonomy
• Project Management skills
• Chemical studies are a nice to have
