Quality Assurance Analyst II

Job Description

In this software quality assurance role, you will be part of a cross-functional team with software developers, application owners, other tester and technical designers. The primary responsibility will be to ensure that the software meets the needs and expectations of our customers, application owner and technical designers. Some of these applications are used by a large number of internal staff and are critical for the good functioning of the MasterCard infrastructure and core business.

Key Functions

• Contribute to planning software enhancements in close collaboration with developers, application owners and technical designers
• Analyze specifications (requirements, use cases, application design) for testability and completeness
• Develop and execute test scenarios based on the specifications
• Identify uncovered area and propose additional test scenarios
• Report test progress and record/track defects and test their resolution
• Build out and improve the current test environment suite
  
  

Skills And Experience

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and processes
• Expertise in writing test plans and developing test scenarios
• Hands-on experience in Functional, Regression, Smoke, Integration, System testing
• Analysis skills and inductive thinking (looking beyond the written requirements) to identify additional paths for testing
• ISTQB (or ISEB) certification is recommended
• Willingness to acquire knowledge on new technologies to solve quality problems.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Able to work independently, self-directed and solutions-oriented.
• Sound organizational and planning skills with a solid attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
