Good Afternoon,

For a major player in the food industry located in Waregem, we are currently looking for a Quality Engineer. This is a pivotal role within the Quality Assurance team, where you’ll be supporting QA processes, microbiology, and food safety legislation — all in preparation for key audits (BRC, IFS, BIO, etc.).

Quality Engineer – Waregem / Food Industry / Start: Oct/Nov 2025 / 3-5 days per week / Freelance

???? Role:

• Support and manage quality systems in line with food legislation and certification standards (BRC, IFS, BIO)

• Coordinate audit preparations and ensure documentation is up to date

• Follow up on microbiological controls and quality-related lab activities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across production, R&D, and QA

• Assist in internal and external audits

✅ Requirements:

• Proven experience in Quality Assurance within the food industry

• Solid knowledge of relevant standards and audits (BRC, IFS, BIO, etc.)

• Background in microbiology or food science is a strong plus

• Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a bonus

• Location: Waregem, Belgium

• Start date: October/November 2025

• Contract: 6 months +

• Hours:24-40 hours per week

• Type: Freelance
