Responsibilities

Job Summary
In this role, you successfully execute process development/improvement projects in the sustainability and circularity space for advanced interlayers leading to the implementation of safer, more productive and inherently more sustainable processes in our global operations.


Job Responsibilities

- You take responsibility for technical, process related aspects of interlayers sustainability and raw material circularity: performing research on breakthrough improvements - identify options, setup testing from proof-of-principle to full commercial scale, present data driven recommendations/solutions for lower carbon footprint industrial processes and products
  • Implement and optimize next generation recycling processes, minimize carbon footprint
  • Design unit operations: identify appropriate equipment and determine operating conditions and procedures, propose product specifications and according test methods
  • Identify productivity improvement ideas by analyzing production data, making mass heat balances of the process, modeling and simulating the process, performing pinch analysis, …
  • Identify and evaluate possibilities to comply with new regulations or to improve safety, environmental, quality or sustainability performance.
  • Develop the conceptual design deliverables: PFD, MHB, process simulation, main equipment design conditions (P, T, dimensions), main equipment plot plan, …
  • Support operations in continuous process improvements: evaluate current process performance, propose and evaluate production tests in order to improve process performance
  • Work towards highest standards of operator and process safety


Qualifications

Strong candidates for this position should have many of the following skills or be willing to be trained in these areas.
₋ Education and/or Certifications: Master’s degree in engineering and/or Chemistry.

₋ Problem solver who really wants to get the job done.
₋ Inquisitive learner.
