IFOAM Organics Europe is the European umbrella organisation for organic food and farming. We represent organic in European policymaking and advocate for a transformation of food and farming. Our work is based on the principles of organic agriculture - health, ecology, fairness and care. With almost 200 members in 34 European countries, our work spans the entire organic food chain. The European institutions recognise IFOAM Organics Europe as the leading advocate for organic food and farming on EU policy. We are members of various Civil Dialogue Groups, multiple consortia working on EU-funded projects, and the founders and hosts of the TP Organics European Technology Platform. IFOAM Organics Europe is an AISBL/Ivzw. Its legal name is IFOAM EU Group - International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements.

ECO-READY (60%) aims to analyse the drivers that affect food security in Europe. It will build an observatory to better understand the connections between food security, climate change and biodiversity and establish a Network of Living Labs for co-creation of scenarios for food resilience. The main role of IFOAM Organics Europe in the project is to connect the project with organic stakeholders and bring in the organic perspective. Tasks of the Research & Innovation Coordinator include: ¿ Recruit and engage organic stakeholders Contribute to design of scenarios for food resilience Contribute to research on consumer behavioural change Contribute to elaboration and dissemination of policy recommendations Contribute to the elaboration of a business/sustainability plan for the project’s Observatory and Network of Living Labs Contribute to communication and dissemination of project results Attend and represent IFOAM Organics Europe at the annual project meetings Organise and attend specific meetings with colleagues and project partners to plan the implementation of project tasks Contribute to reporting: ensure quality and timely delivery of technical and financial reports to the project coordinator LIVESEEDING (20%) LIVESEEDING aims to improve availability of organically produced seed of organic cultivars (organic heterogeneous material, organic varieties, landraces). IFOAM Organic Europe’s role is to help disseminate and exploit the project results and is responsible for stakeholder management. In addition, IFOAM Organics Europe helps improve transparency in the organic seed market (this part is not covered by the position). Tasks of the Research & Innovation Coordinator include: Set up and coordinate a European Task Force for the promotion of financing for organic plant breeding Contribute to the set-up and implementation of the LIVESEEDING Training Centre. Contribute to the elaboration of narratives explaining the importance of organic breeding to citizens.Be responsible for the LIVESEEDING stakeholder database and run stakeholder workshops Contribute to communication and dissemination of project results Attend and represent IFOAM Organics Europe at the annual project meetings Organise and attend specific meetings with colleagues and project partners to plan the implementation of project tasks Contribute to reporting: ensure quality and timely delivery of technical and financial reports to the project coordinator InterCropValuES (20%) The goal of IntercropValueES is to exploit the benefits of intercropping to design productive and resilient agroecological cropping systems. IFOAM Organics Europe has an important role in the communication, dissemination and exploitation of the project results. Tasks of the Research & Innovation Coordinator include: Create practice abstracts and policy briefs presenting the key results of the project ¿ Organise webinars for farmers and others actors in the farm industry ¿ Organise online conferences for academia, stakeholders, consumers and policy makers Prepare the project’s exploitation plan and coordinate the exploitation of the project’s key results ¿ Attend and represent IFOAM Organics Europe at the annual project meetings Organise and attend specific meetings with colleagues and project partners to plan the implementation of project tasks Contribute to reporting: ensure quality and timely delivery of technical and financial reports to the project coordinator


Description du profil

Essential : Master’s degree in agronomy, or other natural sciences; or alternatively a master’s in business management combined with affiliation to agriculture ¿ Effective communication in English, both verbal and written ¿ Confident in speaking to public ¿ Experience in stakeholder engagement ¿ Experience in communication, dissemination and exploitation of research results Optional First experience in management of R&I projects (1-2 years), preferably Horizon 2020 projects Knowledge of the EU’s food and agriculture policies ¿ Knowledge of other European languages such as French or German is an asset Work experience in Non-Governmental-Organisations ¿ Basic knowledge of organic agriculture Skills ¿ Strong computer skills (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) Able to develop your work independently and as part of a team ¿ High attention to detail & good organisational skills Able to prioritise and used to work with tight deadlines Confident in communicating with different target groups, including practitioners, researchers and policy makers. ¿ Ability to work in a truly intercultural environment ¿ Curious & creative ¿ Flexible & able to adapt to new situations ¿ Good sense of humour ¿ Reflect and have empathy with the aims and objectives of IFOAM Organics Europe
