Who are we?
Aperam is one of the world’s largest producers of flat stainless steel with a capacity of 2.5mioT stainless steel in Europe & Brazil. Worldwide 9500 people work in 6 production sites, 16 service centers and 19 sales offices. We sell our products in 40 countries to customers active in the automotive, catering, oil & gas, construction, white goods sector, etc.
Aperam Services & Solutions Benelux, the service center located in Genk, is looking for a Sales Area Manager End user Sales. We process the raw coils from the factories into plates or slit strips and can process the surface by polishing. We also act as a sales agency for the Benelux and therefore sell the above-mentioned products to end customers or smaller distribution customers in the Benelux or neighboring countries such as the UK, Germany, Nordic & France. About 100 people work at Aperam S&S Benelux.
Mission
As Sales Account Manager, you will strengthen the Benelux Sales team based in Genk.
After intensive training, you will join the sales team and will soon be responsible for your own accounts. By maintaining and expanding your customer base, you actively contribute to the realisation of our sales strategy in end user development and decommoditization.
Most important responsibilities
- you actively hunt for (new/reactivated) end user business within the Benelux area
- you are responsible to steer the commercial strategy and pricing for your own accounts via our online commercial platform eAperam
- you negotiation contracts/projects, when ordering involve all the stakeholders, secure requested service in cooperation with the (service³) team, evaluate project with customer and communicate internally possible improvements for the future as a contact person between production, customer service and the customer, you will manage pricing, order entry and follow-up (management of customer stock, status of current orders, delivery times, etc.) and you will actively contribute to improve our service after you have received tailored training, you are the contact person for some of your own accounts and responsible for your personal commercial objectives
- you can give technical advice to our end users concerning the choice of material and you mediate in the handling of complaints via eClaims
- you consult debitor management and contact customers about payment terms and credit possibilities
Profile
- you are a smooth negotiator with good commercial insights and you have a communicative and analytical mind
- solid sense of responsibility, pragmatic organisational talent and proactive attitude, are necessary qualities
- working in a problem-solving way is not strange to you
- you preferably have a technical/commercial background and a hands-on mentality with a Master’s level of work and thinking
- you express yourself well in Dutch, French and English
- between 2-5 years of commercial experience
