For our customer we are looking for a Sales Manager Export. Our customer is a leading European food group that manufactures and sells high-quality food products. Our customer is European leader in several food categories such as bakery products. The headquarters of our customer are located in Ghent.

Today, our customer is looking for a Sales Manager Export for the Bakery business line. As Sales Manager Export you will be responsible for the presence of frozen Bakery products in targeted territories. These include Africa, the Dom Tom, (South) Eastern Europe, the Middle East and South America (about 50 territories).
Your key responsabilities and tasks are:
- Building and promoting strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
- Exploring and studying the markets in depth in terms of customer’s needs and expectations, products and pricing, market trends, potential partners…
- Collecting and providing competitive and other market information in close cooperation with our customers/ distributors
- Developing of new markets (farming) by selecting and appointing the distributors with the biggest potential
- Developing different market segments by excellent overall management and motivation of the existing importers/ distributors
- Acting as a key support for our distributors and executing joint customer projects with them
- Prospecting and developing new regional distributors
- Promoting our company, its values, brands and products
- Organization of the customer’s visits and the product tastings for the customers
- Organization and/ or participation in the international and local trade shows
- Achieving business targets and analyses of the sales results in relation to budgeted objectives (volumes and contribution)
- Enhancing the customer service level in close cooperation with our central services, including our Back Office and Marketing Teams, located in Belgium and France
- Assuring of the accurate forecasting by all customers and of correct payments of the customers
- Handling and resolving of the customer’s complaints in close cooperation with the Quality Department
Your profile:

- You preferably hold a master’s degree in Economics, Business, Marketing…
- You have at least 3 years of relevant experience in commercial sales to export markets
- Experience in Food business and Food service segment is an added value
- You have an entrepreneurial and a result-oriented spirit
- Due to your interpersonal skills you can communicate with the colleagues and the customers and work efficiently
- You are open to contribute to the excellent team spirit by your open communication and willingness to share your knowledge
- You are flexible, stress resistant and prepared to travel
- You are well-structured, efficient and have strong organizational skills. You can manage complexity and easily set priorities. You’re an autonomous worker
- You speak English and French fluently. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus
- You have a well-developed analytical (i.e strong in figures, margins, calculation,…), combined with a problem solving mindset
- You have strong negotiation skills and you can create trustful relations
- You’re passionate about food
- You own interpersonal sensitivity & empathy, in your relationships with both customers and colleague
