About Our Client

Our Client is an international company based in Antwerp that solves logistics problems for companies across the globe and across industries.

Job Description

You will work together with 15 team members to run the finance department and you’ll be responsible for the GL accounting of 1 or more legal entities throughout Europe.


  • GL Accounting of 1 ormoreentities,including:
    • Monthly posting of payroll, accruals, prepaids, depreciations, … in US GAAP
    • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
    • Analytical review of results per branch
    • Help in reporting branch results
  • FiscalCompliance,including:
    • Preparation (and filing in some entities) of VAT and other tax declarations
    • Help during tax controls
  • Year-endclosings,including:
    • Preparation of local GAAP statutory files
    • Help during audit
    • Preparation (and filing in some entities) of local GAAP financial statements
  • Contact with branches
  • Contact with external parties (auditors, tax advisors, tax authorities)
  • Ad hoc tasks

The Successful Applicant

    • Bachelor accountancy or Master
    • Knowledge GL accounting
    • Fiscal knowledge (basic)
    • Experience in a similar function
    • Professional knowledge of English, both written and spoken
    • Excellent knowledge of Excel
    • Knowledge of Oracle is a plus
    • No 9-to-5 mentality
    • Service driven
    • Highly motivated and eager to learn
    • Independent and well organized
    • Teamplayer
