Position

As a Senior Accounts Payable Accountant, you play a crucial role in managing and optimising our accounts payable processes. You contribute to the operational execution of the finance department within a dynamic, international project-based company. Working closely with the Financial Director and two other accountants, you ensure reliable and efficient processing of all incoming invoices and account balances.

Your Responsibilities Include

  • Independently managing accounts payable for assigned entities
  • Verifying, registering, and following up on incoming invoices
  • Coaching, motivating, and supervising two junior accountants
  • Quickly and accurately resolving issues within the invoicing process
  • Monitoring supplier balances and processing expense reports
  • Reporting to accountants on processed files and related issues
  • Performing ad hoc tasks and contributing ideas for optimising the AP process
In this role, you report directly to the Financial Director, actively contributing to the growth and further professionalisation of our finance department.

Profile

  • You have five years of experience, including at least one initial experience with people management.
  • You hold a graduate degree in Accountancy or equivalent by experience.
  • With your financial focus and positive attitude, you can work with your colleagues to meet departmental objectives.
  • Professional experience in accounts payable is required.
  • You have a hands-on mentality and can work both independently and as part of a team.
  • You are precise and analytical.
  • You are interested in technology and international trade.
  • You are eager to learn, driven, and want to expand your knowledge.
  • You are communicative, socially adept, and proactive.
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Business Central is a plus.
  • You are fluent in both Dutch and English.
