Overview

Responsible for leading a direct procurement team across Eastern Hemisphere to ensure the efficient sourcing, purchasing, transportation, and inventory management of raw materials. Responsible for comprehensive category strategies which maximize value and outcomes for T.D. Williamson (TDW) while balancing commercial and procurement risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize regional supply chain and procurement operations; align strategic plans with the overall business goals and objectives.
  • Ensure adoption of commercial and procurement ways of working, policies and processes within central category teams and business partners; collaborate across functions to ensure success.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards and service levels.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions, such as supplier failures, natural disasters, or geopolitical events; develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
  • Embrace digital capabilities (i.e., ERP, procure to pay) to drive efficiency and effectiveness of the function.
  • Hire, train, coach, counsel and evaluate performance of direct reports.

Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, procurement, or other related field and at least five (5) years of experience leading geographically and culturally diverse teams or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience in supply chain management, procurement, or other related roles required.
  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of global category management experience required.
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills including the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills including a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement; change management experience preferred.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to balance competing priorities of cost, service, and quality.
  • Ability to challenge status quo and instill a willingness to explore new processes and ways of working.
  • Regular travel to supplier locations required including frequent travel to international locations.
  • Ability to speak English and French required.
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) certification(s) preferred.
