(Senior) Manager, Technical Program Lead

ROLE SUMMARY
The Clinical Manufacturing Sr Manager Technical Program Lead will lead a team of manufacturing excellence lead and or technical project managers.
- Leading large complex and high impact strategic initiatives to the clinical plants in PGS (S2F2 in Puurs, PPD in Freiburg and Gene Therapy in Sandford)
- Manage, optimize, and standardize process for development, budget and funding and tech transfer overarching for all clinical plants
- Work as black belt, Lead and coach colleagues using wide range of OpEx methodologies such as Six Sigma, Human Error Reduction to solve complex investigations and problems.
- Program management on capital projects across clinical plants and work closely with clinical manufacturing team to pilot innovative ideas including technology road map deployment
- This position requires effective and direct communication skills, bold leadership and facilitation, and an effortless ability to influence and integrate various colleagues from cross function team.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Technical Program Sr Manager, you will partner with Director TPPL to realize a variety of strategic Initiatives across clinical manufacturing plants by the following:
Project Organization
- Set major objectives for lead multiple strategic initiative to optimize resources, process and acceleration of tech transfer in and out of clinical plants
- Solve complex problem and or lead investigations cross all clinical plants
- Mange and optimize process to ensure effective preparation of budget to meet overall financial commitment
- Manage programs including Implementation of technology road map, capital projects across clinical plants.
Technical responsibility
- Lead teams on 6 Sigma M3 (black belt) projects, coach colleagues in the successful application of Six Sigma and Human Reduction methodology
- Has comprehensive understanding /knowledge of principles and concepts of project management
- Has advanced knowledge/understanding of the principle and concepts of specific technical area for example, aseptic sterile injectables, biologics, vaccines, tech transfers, co-development
- With and through others, create an environment where innovation is the standard
- The appropriate risk to advance innovative process and mythologies based on comprehensive business Knowledge
Interpersonal effectiveness
- Highly respected colleague; create, establish and maintain an open and diverse environment with engaged colleagues
- Develop strong working relationship with clinical manufacturing operation sites, PhRD, Launch Excellence group , Manufacturing Intelligence group, quality, GCMC and manufacturing sites
- Work with PGS digital team to utilize existing systems to capture data
- Coach colleagues to develop six sigma capability
- Comfortable with multifunctional and multi-cultural environments.
Mindset and approach
- Using the wide range of OpEx methodologies such as Six Sigma, Human Error Reduction tool to solve complex problems.
- Knows when to report or escalate risks and issues to leadership and provides alternative approaches/solutions to mitigate these risks/issues and leads towards issue resolution
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree required; A degree in Engineering or Scientific Degree is preferred.
- 8+ years experience in Pharmaceutical production, support or closely related field. Additionally the candidate must have a demonstrated ability to sort thru complex issues.
- Technical expertise and familiar with co-dev, clinical manufacturing and or engineering
- Demonstrated ability to be lead strategic projects with large multi-discipline teams by developing strategy and leading team through project completion
- Proven problem solving skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to effectively influence cross functional teams in technical discussions
- Demonstrated direct and matrix leadership skills and delivery of multi-disciplinary objectives in a fast paced technical setting with stringent timeline
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6 six Sigma black belt
- Experience working with various Business intelligence tools (example Tableau, Spotfire)
- Certified PMP is a plus
SKILLS
- Requires ability to process highly complex information and data analysis under pressure
REQUIREMENTS
- Global travel may be required, typically 15-25%.
- Adaptation of work schedule to accommodate meetings with colleagues in different time zones
