Senior Systems Engineer

The Senior Systems Engineer for Managed Devices will be part the newly formed NATO Digital Workplace (NDW) group. This role will be located in Brain l’Alleud, Belgium.

The role:

The mission of NDW is to empower NATO employees with the services and tools to digitally connect, communicate and collaborate. This newly created role will be part of NATO Digital Workplace group who are enabling NATO and NATOs’ nation staff to communicate effectively.

The Senior System Engineer will have the potential to engineer and support a variety of areas such as Managed Devices (Laptop & Mobile Phones), Print/Scan Devices and Business Networks across a variety of secure and classified environments. Part of an international team the Senior Systems Engineer will coordinate 2 nd and 3 rd Level support including technical help desk and emergency on-site assistance. The role holder is expected to actively participate and support Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) within their designated areas of responsibility.

This role will monitor service delivery performance by analysing and validating operational reporting based on defined KPI’s on available contracts. The role will also support and assist the Service Delivery Manger in all aspect of resource management including distribution, allocation, planning estimation and execution.

About you:

You have a strong team ethic and a curiosity and willingness to learn. You have great analytical and trouble shooting skills, able to speak your mind as well as listen to other, you also have:

• At least five years of experience in managing and administering user’s client devices (e.g. Desktops, Workstations, Thin/Zero Clients, Laptops);
• Good experience in Client Deployment solution, such as Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT);
• Detailed experience on remote access technology and support of a mobile workforce
• Proven experience of securing end-user operating systems (security updates, antivirus, encryption)
• Sound knowledge of centralized printing service management
• Good knowledge of Change and Configuration Management processes.
• Experience in Incident and Request Fulfilment Management.
• Experience in leading and empowering a small technical focused team to delivery troubleshooting and technical solutions.
• Knowledge of working with and the packaging of solutions for virtualized a non-virtualized environment
• Working knowledge of ITIL v3
• Knowledge and experience related to design, implementation, operation, maintenance, support, configuration and administration of internet facing appliances.
• Working knowledge on Resource and Services Management (i.e. SLA compliancy)
• Prior experience of working in an international environment.
• Ideally exposure to working with ITIL v4
• Ideally Scrum certification and/or experience operating within Agile environment
