Traxial is looking for a Senior Thermal Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. You will be taking responsibility on the thermal simulations of our axial flux motors and inverters, as well as supporting our structural simulations.

This is what you’ll do:

  • Strengthen the Simulations Team by improving our thermal simulation capabilities.
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and analytical modeling of thermal problems, as well as supporting our structural FEA simulations.
  • Design of tests and samples required to validate analyses, as well as interpretation and validation of the test results.
  • Improve our simulation methodologies continually to reduce development times and improve accuracy of correlation with test data.
  • Undertaking and drawing conclusions on root cause analysis of products and processes.

Who are we looking for?

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Aerospace engineering or equivalent through experience.
  • Deep understanding of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics, and hands-on experience with CFD modeling.
  • Basic understanding of different engineering domains: mechanics, NVH, electromagnetics, electricity, ...
  • At least three years experience with thermal modeling (CFD, lumped parameter modeling, …)
  • Proficiency in Python is preferred.
  • Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal), good collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively across teams within the organizations.
