For our client, a leader in the food & beverages industry, we are looking for a Sensory & Consumer Science Specialist.

Description



  • The Sensory & Consumer Science Specialist supports and ensures that adequate combination of product space approaches and research methods are used to answer global and key zones projects objectives. He/She ensures possibility to measure trade off between consumer choice, technical feasibility and cost as needed. He ensures the correct translation of consumer feedback into technical insights to guide new products product development that will drive top-line growth, most often across multiple zones. This covers product space design, sensory research set up, consumer research (design, set up, data collection) and analysis (statistical driver analysis and interpretation).
  • The Sensory & Consumer Science Specialist leverages internal capabilities and external network to sustain existing tools. He/She also pilots new ones addressing prioritized gaps in the following fields: statistics and analytics, consumer choice and usage, psychology, sensory and physiology.
  • The Sensory & Consumer Science Specialist ensures assets, tools and programs are described and published in relevant Excellence programs. He/She is involved in coaching and supporting the Zone Sensory & Consumer Science Specialist to deliver sensory guidance needed for innovation and competitiveness projects.
  • The Sensory & Consumer Science Specialist supports initiatives to understand liquid and pack functional benefit such as drinkability, refreshment, convenience and key sensory drivers with respect to consumer choice and usage by underlying product physico-chemical, perceptual, psychological drivers.
  • The Sensory & Consumer Science Specialist supports assessment of sensory panels performance in the Zones and guide their continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • University degree in Food Science & Technology with strong emphasis on Sensory and Consumer Science.
  • Fluent in English
  • At least 2-3 years Food & Beverages experience in Sensory related role.
