The department KION Mobile Automation, Global Service is responsible for the after sales & service in the field of mobile automation. This includes a technical service that ensures a helping hand for customers that are in need for troubleshooting, a spare parts unit that provides the right devices for the mobile robots in case of damage, as well as a service training & documentation management that provides all manuals for every KION Operating Unit. The department is working closely with the location in Germany and North America, so an international exchange is given. The working environment is open, honest and agile. To further strengthen the department, we are looking for you as "Software Engineer" at location Antwerpas soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Provide remote and/or onsite 3rd level technical support by analyzing and resolving complex technical problems in a timely fashion
- Scope, quote and implement customer change requests
- Contribute to the development and implementation of technical solution articles, processes and policies that enlarge our knowledge base to improve self-service and end-to-end workflows
- Provide internal and/or external technical and non-technical trainingoKnowledge sharing / avoid training to avoid confusion
- Provide analytical and innovative input to projects/operational support tasks
- Contribute to service and support readiness through testing and debugging of a variety of host software, providing feedback and being ready to support new releases
- Strive to technical excellence and expertise through continually developing your technical and non-technical skills
- University degree with a technical focus or 3-5 years’ experience in high level technical support
- Customer-focused and quality mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team player that works well with others in a fast-paced innovative environment
- Outstanding time management to meet deadlines and performs well under pressure
- Takes initiative and can drive change
- Eager to learn with technical aptitude to assimilate new learning quickly
- Basic understanding of mechatronics
- Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, C#, C/C++ experience
- Some Database Experience (such as MS-SQL, Oracle, or others)
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux
- Experience with Communications Protocols (TCP, UDP, FTP, etc....)
- Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus
- Flexibility and willingness to travel (approx. 5%-10%)
