Sr. Director, R&D Agile Team Leader, Procurement - 2206096969WDescriptionThis role is accountable for two primary objectives:
  • Ensuring that the Procurement organization delivers results in support of the Janssen R&D strategy and objectives. The role works directly with the Janssen R&D Leadership Team, as well as their respective teams to align Procurement’s activities.
  • Leading operational execution of the Research categories and their respective strategies, globally, for the Janssen business.
The Role’s Scope Of Responsibilities Include
  • Determine the Janssen R&D priorities and partnering with the Product Development & Supply and Research Services Procurement Category Leaders to devise strategies that advance those priorities
  • Collaborate with senior business leaders to ensure Procurement strategies meet the business needs, and are adopted within the business
  • Identify pharmaceutical industry trends that Procurement must build into its category strategies to ensure sustainable relevance to the Janssen business
  • Lead and provide oversight to Research Agile Team, responsible for operational execution of the global category strategies and their implementation, including the delivery of sourcing and contracting services for certain activities.
  • Lead major strategic negotiations for owned categories, or on behalf of the Janssen R&D, as required
  • Engage with the Janssen R&D Leadership Team, to provide leadership to the function regionally in the achievement of Janssen business objectives
  • Deliver against performance targets for the Janssen Procurement organization in the role’s areas of responsibility, and ensure target achievement.
