Randridge International are hiring an Senior Instrument Technician required for an Industrial engineering site in Antwerp in Belgium. The candidate must have at least 5 years’ experience in projects in the Oil and Gas Sector or Industrial engineering and construction Sector.

Working hours from Monday to Friday from 07.00AM to 05.00PM. (normal hours 50/week)

Accommodation, flights, transport and food allowance (on top of the rate) will be provided. Salary / rate negotiable in accordance with Experience and Certification.

It will be reviewed as a plus if the candidate has worked on the Belgium previouslyand holds a BSN registration number and VCA Safety Passport.

Role description:

· Responsible for the commissioning of all the instrument equipment and processes on site

· Providing technical direction across the process

· Monitoring and reporting to the commissioning engineer on site

· Liaising with the commissioning team to ensure that contract deadlines are met and that the work is carried out correctly the first time, to the client’s satisfaction.

Details of position:

· Complete field level risk assessments.

· Safely perform commissioning, testing, troubleshooting and diagnose faults

· Calibration checks of field instrumentation.

· Stroke test of pneumatic, hydraulic and motor-operated valves.

· Loop-checks and troubleshooting I/O checking and troubleshooting.

· Fibre optic panels wiring against IFC drawings and red-lining/as-building as required.

· Cause and effect matrix checks.

· Interlocks, alarms, and controls performance verification.

· Installation inspection against design documentation.

· Completion of approved commissioning check sheets.

· Use of calibration and testing instruments to inspect, test and perform troubleshooting and diagnose faults.

· Communicate design discrepancies and Issues to the commissioning operations manager and the site commissioning engineer.
