System Engineer (Asse)

Do you have a deep knowledge in a Telecom & Networks environment (SIP, TCP/IP, DNS, Routing,…) ? Are you familiar with the IT environment (Microsoft, Vmware,…) ? Are you dynamic, flexible, autonomous, structured and have a real passion for IT, then you might be the System Engineer we are looking for !

As a System Engineer at Axians Telecom & Networks, you can expect to have a wide range of tasks, in a company that is continuously growing in the Telecom sector with real challenges !

Your tasks:

• You deploy and maintain Telecom Infrastructures
• You have good network knowledge
• You have good Firewall knowledge (Fortigate)
• You provide support to the software & after-sales team.
• You will also provide level 2 support to internal users of Axians Telecom & Networks.
• You will be in charge of the installation of new servers (Windows/Linux environment).

Your profile:

• You have obtained a Bachelor / Master in an IT-related field, or equivalent through experience
• You have a more than 5 years’ experience as System Engineer
• You have a strong experience with a focus on IT
• You have either an excellent knowledge of both French and Dutch, or you have a good understanding of the other language. The knowledge of English is an added-value.

Next to this, you also have a solid technical background:

• You have a deep knowledge of Telephony PBX (SIP, ISDN, ANALOG, Avaya is a +), Firewall (Fortigate), switching/networking, …
• You have a good knowledge in, Windows environment (Servers…), VMWARE (ESXI, Vcenter, Storage)
• Furthermore, you have knowledge in Linux Server (mostly Redhat, Ubuntu, Debian)…
