For our Schneider Electric NV/SA division, we are looking for a System Engineer who works for the region of BeNe, based in Brussels, Belgium.

Your meaningful purpose

You will be part of the Projects & Engineering team based in Belgium or The Netherlands. This position is responsible to provide professional pre-sales technical support in a datacenter environment to Account Managers and Schneider Electric customers.

The type of solutions will involve a variety of technology including In-Room, In Row & In Rack cooling solutions, chilled water supply systems, DX cooling systems, evaporative free cooling etc.

Support project managers during the execution of won projects with technical & engineering support as required. Utilize experience & knowledge to support sales on specific opportunities - visiting customers from identification of opportunity through to order receipt.

Your Daily Task And Responsibilities
  • Translate the needs of the end user into a solution, based on input from the customer and enterprise account managers.
  • Support sales in design, technical support, offer production, customer, specifiers, and partner visits as trusted advisor.
  • Perform consulting services at customer site as well as over the phone.
  • Document all required information for each site visit performed.
  • Explain, update and support colleagues and departments where needed in project implementation, analysis, or customer support.
  • Develop, validate, and create full solutions where desired or needed (Data Center, Secure Power, Cooling …)
  • Understand offer requests + RFP’s and convert to correct configurations.
  • Coordinate and provide technical seminars to partners and end-users.
  • Rigorously embrace the formalized & methodical Customer Project Process
  • RFQ scope & specification definition for 3rd party quotes.

Qualifications

Who you are?

Your Education And Experience
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in electromechanical or Cooling
  • Preferable at least 3 years’ experience in a cooling related field
  • Strong business acumen and ability to develop an analytical understanding of a client’s business.
  • Trilingual FR/DUTCH/ENG
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office and being computer literate
  • Good understanding of Schneider Electric.

Your personality and goals
  • Solid understanding of Data Center fundamentals - specifically data center power, power distribution, and cooling.
  • Proficient personal computer skills include Excel, Word, Adobe, Visio, AutoCAD (basic), etc.
  • You are bilingual Dutch/French and you have a good knowledge of English.
  • Excellent Customer interaction skills with ability to interface with all functional areas of the company.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving, time management, decision making and customer orientation skills
  • Able to support as well as take direct ownership for actions
  • Independent learning focus with openness to new ideas and concepts.
