Job Purpose and Impact

Member of the Regional Technical Services R&D Team, the Technical Account Manager Customer Solutions focusses on developing Oils and fats solutions to the key customers in different categories: like retail and industrial margarines & spreads, Sauces and dressings, frying, snacks & cereals. In this role, you will bring existing product and service solutions to the (Global Edible Oil Solutions) GEOS customers, you will develop new solutions in the Plant based Meat alternatives category, and you will drive process improvements (incl. supporting tools and metrics).

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop strong customer relationships at key accounts
  • Thrives on working on a diversity of customer related questions and coming up with a pragmatic response as quickly as possible to support the success of our customers
  • Product renovation via search and re-apply
  • Participate with sales and marketing leaders on customer segmentation and satisfaction, account planning, and the use of salesforce.com.
  • Support the application center, ensuring a safe working environment, food safety compliance and resource management (budget).
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in food chemistry, food technology, chemistry, Engineering or other related field.

  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Minimum of two years of related work experience

  • Open for 20% EU-international travel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters in food chemistry, food technology, chemistry, Engineering or other related field.
  • 3 years of relevant customer facing working experience in a technical role and associated customer relationship network or relevant R&D expertise on customer level.
  • Relevant expertise in plant based oils and fats chemistry.
  • Solutions driven, with can do attitude and clear sense of pragmatism.
  • Working knowledge of food safety processes and requirements.
  • Business acumen and financial understanding.
  • Work experience in category industry (customer level) plant based meat alternatives, or in other plant based ingredient area(s) (cocoa & chocolate, sweeteners, starches and hydrocolloids, emulsifiers, vegetable proteins, fibers)
