Context of need

John Cockerill has been acting as global OEM in the energy sector for several decades, delivering heat recovery steam generators, industrial boilers and solar receivers for concentrated solar power plant.

In order to support the acceleration of its developments in renewable energy solutions, John Cockerill has grouped all these activities under a specific entity “John Cockerill Renewables”, with its specific and dedicated organization. It has four activities: solar & thermal storage, hydrogen, Integrated Renewables Solutions and EPC.

The hydrogen activities are organized under a subsidiary called “John Cockerill Hydrogen”. This entity takes advantage of:
  • Its current position as the worldwide leader in the manufacturing of electrolysers with more than 25 years of experience
  • Complete range of integrated solutions for hydrogen production and refueling stations
  • Manufacturing capacities in Asia and Europe
  • Integrated test laboratory for key components of electrolysers
In order to strengthen the development of its worldwide hydrogen activities, John Cockerill is looking for a new Technical Project Manager for the H2tech Team.

Main Tasks

Technical Project Manager will:
  • Be able to manage an technical project
  • Align the different technical referents (coordination of the different disciplines)
  • Be the interface between the Project Manager and the client
  • Within the H2 Tech team, coordinate the engineers
  • Be able to set up project governance at a technical level
  • The function will develop with the concrete projects in 2022
  • The technical project manager is the interface between the resources, the field, the technical and the operational
Profile
  • Industrial Engineer with a strong experience in technical energy project or industrial project
  • Be comfortable writing technical notes
  • Autonomous profile, able to work from a blank page
  • Comfortable with contacts and teamwork
  • Leadership required
  • People manager
  • Good writing skills
  • Knowledge in hydrogen and/or renewables sectors is/are an asset
  • Structured, rigorous, organised management (diligent in follow-up)
  • Synthetic
  • Fluency in English (French preferred)
