Vestas is the largest renewable energy solutions provider in the World. Vestas NCE is responsible for sales, construction, and servicing of wind projects in Benelux and other European Markets. Service Sales works with multiple functions in an international environment to deliver on Vestas "profitable growth" strategy.Region NCE > SBU NCE Service > Technical Support NCE > Control Systems team.Purpose and reason for the existence of the jobTechnical Support Control Systems Team is a sub department of Technical Support NCE, supporting Service and Construction business in entire NCE region, in terms of technical knowledge and acting as the link between R&D and local business units.The main areas of support are turbine troubleshooting and turbine performance tasks.Joining Technical Support Control Systems Team, you will be part of a high experience and dedicated team. Taking leadership for implementing Vestas strategy, supporting the Service and Construction organizations and local business units with technical knowledge, secure customer focus and safety.The team consists today of 13 persons.Responsibilities- Perform remote software uploads on a backlog for existing turbines, and when new software changes and updates are needed.
- Checking and ensuring turbines are configurated correctly, and updating all needed documentation after SW uploads
- Ensuring all new turbines at commissioning are installed with the latest SW version, and checking turbines are configurated according to Project Specific Parameter Settings (PSPS) at handover process.
- Performing SW uploads at After Sales fleet optimizing selling’s, and ensuring all documentation are uploaded. Furthermore, documentation update for a backlog of already performed fleet optimization SW uploads.
- Providing direct support to service technicians having SW upload problems.
- Handling requests in ticketing system.
- Ensuring knowledge are shared within the team.
- All above tasks are for all NCE counties, and the SW process should be followed. These tasks are the primarily and prioritized daily tasks.
- If times allows, additional tasks as following can also be included:
- Providing direct support to service technicians in troubleshooting and repair jobs with focus on turbine performance.
- Provide timely and correct responses and support to the Service and Construction organizations.
- Create guides (VGAs) for Service technicians
- Prepare technical customer reports and presenting technical matters at customer meetings.
- Be the link between Technical Support NCE and Technology R&D.
- Good communication skills in English, both oral and in writing
- Electrical or mechanical education + working experience from the wind industry. Or, relevant Engineering education, such as: Electrical, Mechanical or Marine Engineering
- Experience from the wind industry is highly preferred.
- Commercial skills - being able to run project and communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to participate effectively as part of an international environment.
- Good knowledge of WTG control systems (Toolkit, VOB, VTM, VAX etc.)
- Ability to organize and priorities tasks.
- Able to work both with limited supervision and in teams.
- Good pragmatical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and a solid commitment to quality and safety.
- Professional PC skills - SAP, Microsoft office suite.
