As a Technical Support Engineer you will provide vital help to the Service Engineers and Customers and will also have a key role in deploying and facilitating the quality culture in ABB Robotics Benelux.

Your responsibilities
  • Providing technical support to the customers by phone and/or mail
  • Organizing/supervising the helpdesk and directing the engineers on duty in the execution of their tasks
  • Supporting colleagues in the field with technical (and other) information
  • Supporting the Inside Sales Team with technical (and other) information
  • Following-up and support ongoing malfunctions and problems
  • Ensuring you are at the forefront of new technologies / ABB products and train Service Engineers where necessary
  • Ensuring thorough documentation / registration / follow-up of problems via cases (in salesforce) and keep the customers informed with regard to the evolution / follow-up steps. During the weekly planning meeting you indicate which problems are unresolved and you make proposals for possible actions
  • Drawing-up guarantee files and follow them up completely
  • If quality problems arise, reporting the case to the factory and look for similar problems and/or possible root causes
  • Take care of the roll-out/follow-up in the BeNeLux of factory decisions
  • Providing technical support to the remote service specialist and consult with him regarding remote monitoring of specific problems at clients site. The data we collect in this way can be an additional puzzle piece that helps solve problems
Your background
  • Technically strong (bachelor/master) with solid communication skills
  • Experience in providing technical support (1st line /2nd line support), documenting and solving problems
  • You can have a technical conversation in Dutch, French and English
  • Very punctual and administratively strong
