As a leading telecommunications company with its two feet in the digitization of our society, Telenet is eager to bring aboard a telco engineer with specialization in Broadband.

The Connectivity Platforms & Services department is responsible for designing and delivering reliable and future-proof connectivity solutions and networks to enable superior products for the internal and external customers.

The team you take part in is specifically responsible for designing leading and converged Data and VAS (Value-Added Services) solutions and is currently also focusing on the design of our 5G-network.

As such, you will have to deal with multiple customer bases, each having their own set of requirements and time constraints.

Your Role
  • Help define and review solutions and architectures
  • Work closely with analysts, engineers and owners to gather system requirements
  • Participate in agile ceremonies (eg refinement, planning, review, …)
  • Design solutions for business projects
  • Document and transferthe necessary knowledge to operations and other engineering teams
  • Solve L3 incidents and problems
Your Background
  • Education: you have an engineering degree or similar by experience
  • Expected knowledge in one or more of the following domains:
    • Mobile signaling protocols (Sigtran, Radius, …)
    • Deep knowledge in tracing tools & protocol analyzing
    • Basic scripting skills (Java, SQL, Python, Grafana, Kibana, …)
    • Expert knowledge 2G, 3G, 4G mobile architecture
    • Proven component ownership (design, capacity monitoring, roadmap development, …)
    • Be able to write technical requirements for RFI and RFP’s
    • Be able to understand and write High-Level Design and Low-level Design
    • Experience in agile way of working is a plus
