Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Technical Product Owner – Reporting & Analytics who will work at the intersection of business & technology to define strategies that combine a deep understanding of business objectives, challenges, with technology solutions and extending them into development execution, value realization & ongoing product management. In this role, you will own setting the strategic direction for the finance technology products focused on architecting an integrated data & analytics solution for financial, external, and operational data as the function embarks on an ambitious transformational agenda: Vision & Strategy Definition: shaping a ‘future proof’ finance business vision, strategy & capability roadmaps, and corresponding technology strategy & product roadmaps with significant decision-making latitude Business Problem Definition: understanding and translating business problems faced by the finance function into a value case & comprehensive set of solutions spanning process, technology, data, governance & user experience supported by defined, baseline value realization key performance indicators Data Model Definition: be familiar with data modeling leading practices, big data principles and understand how to architect advanced market models, supply network models, in a big data environment Solution Design: ensuring that product development efforts incorporate an approach that starts with experimentation to validate expected impact, includes human centered design, embraces agile principles, incorporates external insights, required end to end process optimizations, and compliance engagement Value Realization: defining expected value impact of investments across employee experience, functional excellence, efficiency, and compliance Architecture: partnering with the finance architecture team to define the role each system plays within our landscape aligned with business capabilities Internal Partnerships: acting as the primary trusted advisor to senior finance & technology leaders across all lifecycles of product development starting with inception through to value realization & ongoing continuous improvement, and communication of progress against strategic objectives Product Management: partnering with product management teams to ensure roadmaps are oriented to deliver finance business & technology strategy, value creation objectives, and measurable key performance indicators External Partnerships: managing vendor relationships to influence development roadmaps & ensure that our needs will be met by our technology partners Team Leadership: lead a team of finance technology strategy professionals across multiple domains We believe that experience developing insight led strategy, crafting innovative technology solutions, experimentation, agile ways of working, intellectual curiosity, empathy, leading teams, and human centered design are essential to enable you to be successful in this role. Furthermore, it is essential that you are a natural collaborator, who has the leadership presence to influence results and build a strong sense of collective team engagement. We desire a candidate who has experience structuring & facilitating large workshops with senior stakeholders. Reporting to the Director, Platform Technology leader, you would partner closely with global process owners, business process owners, senior finance personnel, and financial systems leads to enhance the transformational potential of technology investments. Responsibilities: Collaboration with multiple teams and technology fields to lead the improvements and handle Product backlog for financial reporting in Data Hub Accountable for the smooth operations of reporting and analytic suites which are already in run state Ensuring desired support is provided to finance community during month end close and planning cycles. Handling multiple initiatives simultaneously using strong product management approach and prioritization of activities. Drive seamless integration with the DH back-end team to ensure reporting requirements are correctly understood from the build perspective. Aligning complex Digital Platform architecture to business strategies and reporting initiatives with a focus on Human-Centered Design Good working knowledge in SAP products and Finance reporting platforms Identifying and raising risks/issues in a timely fashion and work with the other leaders to mitigate hurdles In addition to above skills, we would expect you to have the following technical expertise: Shown analytical and problem-solving abilities, comfortable handling large complex data projects and ability to perform analysis, translating insights into actionable recommendations Strong IT background with a consistent record of delivering results, validated leadership, influencing skills, interdependent partnering skills, communication as well as critical thinking skills, creative and flexible problem solver, and process focus Agile experience (JIRA), SDLC methodology, Risk management including Security Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams across the business and technical areas. Ability to succeed in a matrixed environment and influence adoption of new thinking Experience crafting financial, technical solutions for business problems; understands both finance business processes and technical solutions Qualifications Qualifications Required: Strong relevant experience in leading technical and / or finance teams Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills Effective manager of people and strong team-building skills. Preferred: Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree with focus on Computer Science or other Engineering or MBA. 20 – 30% business travel expected.
