PerkinElmer is looking for Account Manager Academia & Start-up Life Science Reagents and Multimode Detection Readers.

The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for achieving business targets, through sales development and field marketing programs, for the PerkinElmer Life Sciences and Technology reagent portfolio across the Netherlands.
In addition to the reagent portfolio PerkinElmer’s multimode detection readers are also included in scope.

Key responsibilities:

  • Competes for all reagent and multimode detection sales opportunities throughout the territory

  • Builds and maintains strong customer relationships within the academic sites in the Benelux

  • Constantly attempts to secure business in new accounts and follows customer account receivables

  • Develops and maintains the salesforce.com customer/prospect records and produces regular business forecasts

  • Attends seminars, exhibitions and demonstrations to promote business

  • Maintains knowledge of PerkinElmer products, as well as knowledge of competitors’ products, prepares, documents and updates PerkinElmer presentation aids accordingly

Your profile:

  • HBO or Master’s degree in Science, preferably immunology, biology and or cell biology

  • First experience in a sales role, preferably within reagents /life sciences, within a matrix organization (desired)

  • Energetic, independent, with excellent organizational and team working skills, driving you to continuously seek new opportunities

  • Flexible, able to communicate with colleagues and customers, willingness to travel across the BeNeLux region and occasionally across boarders

  • Desire to learn, grow and take the lead in a sales role within a fast paced matrix organization
