The role
Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, you will manage and own all statutory and regulatoryr reporting for the Belgium entities within the Kindred Group. Forming part of a small team in our Antwerp office, you will be liaising with the compliance team and the Belgium Managing Director on a regular basis.

What you will do
  • Responsible for all local and group audit requests, ensuring a smooth audit process (interim and year end) and financial statements are signed in a timely manner
  • Working with our internal and external tax teams to ensure compliance with all local and group corporate tax filings and reporting
  • Preparing filings for the Belgium Regulator
  • Calculate monthly betting duties and ensure filing is done in a timely manner
  • Working closely with the Kindred Group Reporting team relating to quarterly and yearly audit and reporting requests
  • Researching/recommending accounting treatment for specific transactions and drafting memos accordingly
  • Working with the Accounting teams across the corporate group to ensure month end deadlines are met - you will help prepare monthly review files and perform controls checks
  • Assisting in improving and automating existing current manual processes in the team
  • Assisting in establishing new accounting processes and controls
  • Keeping up to date with and local tax and regulatory guidelines
  • Working with the FC on Internal Audit work requests as well as on internal control assessments and matrix

Your experience
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) with a strong technical accounting background
  • Audit experience (preferably in a medium or large private practice) alongside industry experience is required
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and communications skills
  • Experience in dealing with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Business acumen, result driven and confident to propose and implement process improvements
  • Self-Starter, outgoing, looking to excel and make a difference
  • Proactive and responsible attitude to workload with ability to work autonomously
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical skills
  • Gaming Industry experience is an advantage but not a requirement
