The Audit and Certification Specialist III will develop, plan and deploy the processes for managing certification audits and may include customer audits across the region which aligns with global processes, company strategies, operational objectives and compliance requirements. In this role, you will work with supply chain, enterprises, corporate team members to deliver a robust audit, along with effectively embedding these activities into the region and local teams.
Key Accountabilities
- Understand and apply principles of certification requirements and customer audits to properly identify, assess, and prioritize compliance.
- Perform and support end to end audit processes across a variety of domains within the company, including training, communication plans and impact studies
- Leverage data analytics, audit programs to prioritize and evaluate audit procedures to drive continual improvement in the enterprises in the region.
- Assist with coordinating certifier, scheme and customer communication through their channels/platform (E.g. ARAVO, SEDEX, etc), considering existent operational structure and also mapping necessity of resources.
- Responsible for the process to manage documentation as it relates to certification requirements.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Experience clearly and concisely articulating project findings to various levels of leadership
- Minimum of four years of related work experience
- Knowledge about sustainability, social responsibility, safety, quality, dietary audits and scheme IT platforms for reporting
- Advanced technical knowledge related to auditing schemes (social accountability and sustainability preferred and ISO schemes)
- Experience with third party certification audits and second party audits required by customers – E.g. SWA, sustainability, safety, quality, dietary, etc
- Knowledge about sustainable traceability protocols – E.g. - RSPO
