Description

For our branch in Ghent, active in our services for the fashion sector, we are looking for a branch manager/operational manager. In this position, you are the key figure of our branch and ensure that the branch runs smoothly and grows in all its aspects.

Your job description:

  • You are responsible for the management and operational leadership of a group of employees in order to carry out all warehouse and transport activities as efficiently as possible.
  • You ensure that everyone has the necessary resources and space to do their job properly.
  • You act as a point of contact, provide the right guidance and coaching within your team and are able to create a motivating environment.
  • You are able to continuously harmonise our employees and processes from day-to-day practice.
  • You are able to work out improvement proposals, to implement optimisation processes and you are able to supervise these changing processes well.
  • You are responsible for active customer and prospect management.
  • You prepare the invoicing, check incoming invoices and general administration.
  • You report to the management within the company.

Competences

  • You have had a logistics education or are equivalent through experience.
  • You preferably have experience in a similar position and have a good knowledge of the logistics sector.
  • You can handle and get energy from a lot of freedom of movement within your job.
  • You are hands-on and have strong people management skills.
  • You have a commercial mindset and function well in a dynamic environment.
  • You have strong communication skills and can express yourself fluently in Dutch, French and English.
