For a long-term assignment at our client - a flourishing pharmaceutical company - we would like to expand our team with a "CAPEX Project Manager - Automation". In this position, you are responsible for executing projects concerningCyber Security,Data Integrity,Automation obsolescenceand others coming in the foreseeable future.

Function:

As CAPEX Project Manager, you will be part of the BeEM CAPEX team that manages the portfolio of all CAPEX Projects in Belgium Operations. Together with your team, it’s your responsibility to ensure that all projects are delivered according to plan with Safety & Quality standards as priority. The team is also accountable for the adherence to the engineering standards and practices in the projects.

• You work according to the PMF (Project Management Framework) procedures and EHS related requirements.
• You are responsible for the whole project, from the Conceptual/Basic Engineering to Hand-Over and Close-Out phase to ensure an outcome which meets all the defined project objectives (cost, timing, quality, safety, ...).
• You are the owner of one or several Automation projects or programs with a budget ranging from 1m€ to >20m€. Therefore, you are accountable for project cost estimating, cost controlling and forecasting.
• You work with all internal and external stakeholders to have the required project team at your disposal. In addition, you work also closely with the Automation technical SME team for the scope development and technical strategy definition of the project.
• You should also give consideration to the quality of the project by establishing a Quality Plan, preparing monthly progress reports according to the PMF standard and keeping the Steering Group and Sponsors informed of critical issues that could jeopardize projects success.
• Implements strict project and financial controls, including procedures for change control / management, cost control / forecasting, physical progress / productivity measurement, and invoice review / payment.
• Ensure that the overall commissioning, validation & handover strategy that fully complies with the PM Standard and implements to ensure a timely and complete handover to the Customer.

Profile:

Basic Qualifications:

• Engineering degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Automation, Electrical or Chemical
• Robust experience with automation projects
• Background in the pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred
• Fluent in French and English
• Min. 8 years of CAPEX Project management experience…as PM or Program Manager
• PMP certification is a plus
• Strong leadership skills & proven team management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Organizational skills
• Stake holder management & negotiation & influencing skills
• The role requires sound judgment and complex decision making where few precedents and considerable ambiguity may exist
• Experience in a Change Management project
• Knowledge of specific Automation subjects as Data Management & Data Integrity, Obsolescence management, Cyber Security, process control systems is a plus
