About the job
As Category Manager, your goal would be to develop winning selling concepts, activation plans and toolbox materials for your brands in all relevant sales channels (pharmacists, retailers and e-commerce). You will refine the channel strategies into winning concepts at customer level and/or store level.This company is based in Nazareth, Belgium (and offers the flexibility to work from home).
Amongst others, your responsibilities will include:
- Building activity plans allowing the sales organization to maximize sell out through effective distribution and in-store visibility
- Managing your product portfolio by channel and/or customer; your customer pricing strategy; your commercial policy and trade terms as well as your promotion strategy
- Developing a strong customer toolbox including a digital sales aid for use by the internal sales teams to visit their customers with market, category & brand insights
- Optimizing and maximizing the development of selling concepts and tools based on sell-out data, consumer insights and customer feedback
- Identifying short-term opportunities and threats and turn them into action plans
- Building the yearly budget objectives on volume, net sales and promotional investment for your dedicated brands, by channel and in line with the total company objectives and guidance
About the ideal candidate
- Master Degree in a relevant direction
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a category management, trade marketing or analytical marketing role, ideally in the OTC pharma or FMCG industry
- Fluency in French, Dutch and English is required
- Ability to crunch numbers, to follow up on different brands and categories in parallel and take fact-based decisions
- A team player with entrepreneuria spirit and a can-do attitude
