The Continuous Improvement manager leads the site’s continuous improvement initiatives and reports to the Plant Manager

He is responsible for establishing a culture of operational excellence in all plant operations with an emphasis on sustainable development.


  • Master’s degree with project management experience.
  • Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in operations, experience in Continuous Improvement is a plus.
  • Have very good knowledge of cycle time reduction, waste reduction,
  • yield improvement, productivity and throughput improvement.
  • Hands-on experience using Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement methods (LEAN, TPM, Six Sigma, TQM).
  • Good leadership skills to coach and lead teams to fully meet goals and projects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Organizational skills in planning and organizing to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good problem solving skills, attention to detail, and numerical aptitude.

  • Manage continous improvement (CI) projects, usually within a local region or business unit.
  • Conduct gap analyses for deficiencies in business processes and programs and make recommendations for changes in programs and/or processes.
  • Establishes a direct link between deficiencies in processes and the impact on the bottom line.
  • Leads cross-functional project teams formed to drive change and continuous improvement.
  • Leads projects to implement value streams in mixed models with a focus on continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost and delivery.
  • Uses appropriate problem-solving tools to drive rapid improvements with sustainable results.
  • Ensures compliance with standard processes for data collection, documentation and reporting.
  • Plans budget and manages costs associated with operational excellence initiatives.
  • Directly supervises, trains and oversees full-time staff assigned to CI.
  • Establishes a project plan for CI projects, including resources, timeline, critical paths,etc.
  • Manages various CI strategies for transactional and/or production activities.
  • Participates in operational continuous improvement reviews with local and/or Regional Management.
